The first World Paint and Coatings Week of the global industry association World Coatings Council took place from March 24 to 28, 2025. Each year, the new initiative aims to highlight the value and benefits that the paint and coatings industry brings to its customers, society and the economy around the world. National coatings industry associations and individual paint and coatings companies will participate in this global initiative in different ways and through various social channels.
World Paint and Coatings Week as a week of action
World Paint and Coatings Week aims to highlight the importance of coatings for sustainability and economic growth, as well as their diverse career opportunities. By sharing case studies and reports during this week of action, the aim is to raise the profile of the coatings industry – with governments, opinion leaders and the public. The week will focus on five main themes, with a new topic taking center stage each day. The themes of World Paint and Coatings Week 2025 are: Fundamental Importance of Coatings, Sustainable and Innovative Coating Solutions, Economic Aspects and Careers in Coatings. The World Paint and Coatings Week was also promoted at the European Coatings Show (ECS) 2025.
