The exhibition of top 40 paintings of 24th Berger Young Painters’ Art Competition (BYPAC) 2019 is inaugurated by Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited. This is a 6-day long exhibition at Zainul Gallery-1, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka, on November 21, 2019.
Out of 577 paintings participating in the 24th BYPAC, the top 40 paintings, including the 6 winning artworks are being exhibited.
Professor Nisar Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka & Chairman of Jury Committee of 24th BYPAC, lifetime achievement award winner of 24th BYPAC – renowned artist Professor Abdus Shakoor Shah, Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, Senior General Manager – Sales & Marketing, A K M Sadeque Newaj – General Manager, Marketing, Berger Paints were present on the occasion. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by honourable members of the jury committee, faculty members of FFA, DU and officials of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, participants of this competition and many renowned artists.
The six winners of the 24th Berger Young Painters’ Art Competition (BYPAC) 2019 are Nur Munjerin Rimjhim (1st), Rumana Rahman(2nd), Chitram Sen Anik (3rd), Md Ashraful Alam (4th), Md. Rafiqul Islam (5th) and Ashim Chowdhury (6th).
The exhibition will be open for all from November 21 to 26, 2019 at Zainul Gallery (Gallery 1) of Faculty of Fine Art, the University of Dhaka from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
