Berger Awarded Young Painters
The award-giving ceremony of the 24th Berger Young Painters’ Art Competition (BYPAC) was held on November 14, 2019, at a Hotel, Gulshan.
This program began with a welcome speech by Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, Senior General Manager – Sales & Marketing, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, which was followed by Mohammad Eunus, Professor, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka and member of Jury Committee of BYPAC 2019. Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director, Berger Paints, congratulated the winners in her speech and thanked all the participants, jury committee and eminent artists for making this competition successful.
Among 577 artwork from overall Bangladesh the six winners of the 24th Berger Young Painters’ Art Competition (BYPAC) 2019 are Nur Munjerin Rimjhim (1st), Rumana Rahman (2nd), Chitram Sen Anik (3rd), Md Ashraful Alam (4th), Md. Rafiqul Islam (5th) and Ashim Chowdhury (6th).
In the program, Rupali Chowdhury handed over the crests to the winners and the certificates and prizemoney were handed over by the members of the Jury Committee.
The ceremony was further brightened by honoring the prominent artist, Professor Abdus Shakoor Shah with Life Time Achievement Award of BYPAC 2019.
Members of the jury committee; officials of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited; participants of this competition; and many renowned artists were present at the event. In the program, the audience enjoyed the various music, dance and instrumental performances with great enthusiasm.
